A number of faculties at the UvA offer a range of high-quality short courses. These cover a wide range of topics. Specifically these courses are offered in:

• Cognitive Sciences

• Medicine
• Sciences

The programmes form either a useful basis for building an understanding of an academic discipline or cover a specific topic so as to complement existing studies. They also offer an ideal opportunity to find out what it would be like to study in Amsterdam for a longer period of time as well as insight into the amount of work required to succeed in other programmes at the UvA.

Several courses are offered in conjunction with the University of Maastricht.
