Study programmes taught in English
The University of Amsterdam offers two Bachelor's programmes taught in English: the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme at the Amsterdam University College (AUC) and the Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business.
Bachelor's programmes take three years. The minimum entry requirement is a completed high school education equivalent to the Dutch VWO (voorbereidend wetenschappelijk onderwijs).

Interdisciplinary programmes taught in English
The Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies (IIS) facilitates interdisciplinary education in which students learn to look further than the boundaries of their chosen fields.
Future Planet Studies is a programme offered by IIS and consists of two thematic programmes for international students who wish to study a semester at the University of Amsterdam. Both programmes form part of Future Planet Studies, an interdisciplinary Bachelor-level study programme built around actual, global challenges.
Since its focus is on global issues, Future Planet Studies has a clear international orientation. From the second year onwards, the programme is entirely in English. This enables us to invite students from all over the word to participate for a semester in this interdisciplinary programme at the University of Amsterdam. The programme offers half-year programmes on the issues of Food and Natural Resources, and the issues of Water Management & Water Supply.
