Quality assurance, accreditation and degrees

The Universiteit van Amsterdam confers two types of master's degrees or titles. The type of degree awarded depends on whether or not the programme has been accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of The Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO) in conformity with the Dutch Higher Education and Scientific Research Act.

Code of Conduct with respect to international students

The Dutch Code of Conduct for universities guarantees proper recruitment, selection and coaching of students from outside the European Union. One of its main goals is to help students obtain the correct visas and residence permits efficiently.

Dutch language courses

There are Dutch language courses specifically for international students.
