Accountancy

The Accountancy track is intended for students of business economics seeking a career in the financial sector. It is designed for students with a general and analytical interest in financial information flows between and within organisations and, more specifically, in providing information services to senior managers and other stakeholders. This track combines academic rigour with practical examples and applications, and provides admission to the post-Master Accountancy (PMA) programme offered by the Amsterdam Business School (in Dutch only), leading to qualification as a chartered accountant.

Control

This track focuses on the role of accounting information in organisations'financial management. How can financial and non-financial information be used to influence decision-making among managers and employees? The courses in this track aim to combine academic rigour and practical relevance through a multidisciplinary perspective using insights from economics, psychology and organisation theory.
Completion of the track qualifies students for admission to the Executive Master of Finance and Control (EMFC) programme given by the Amsterdam Business School (in Dutch only).

Graduates of the Master's programme in Control who have at least two years relevant work experience are also eligible to apply for the international Executive Master of Finance and Control (iEMFC) programme (taught in English, admission restrictions apply).
