In the Master's programme Modern Greek Language and Culture you delve deeper into the studies of modern Greek literature, language and culture. And you choose one of the three areas to specialise in.

Studying Modern Greek Language and Culture at the UvA

The University of Amsterdam is the only university in the Netherlands offering a Master's programme in modern Greek language and culture. It also has one of the richest libraries of modern Greek literature, language and history in Western Europe.

Accreditation and degree

This Master's programme has been legally accredited by the Dutch government. This means that upon successful completion of the programme students will receive an accredited Master's degree in Nieuwgriekse taal en cultuur (Modern Greek  Language and Culture) and the title Master of Arts (MA).
