Introduction
The one-year Master's programme in Slavonic Languages and Cultures offers a unique combination of specialised and general courses covering a wide range of topics from four major Slavonic traditions: the Russian, Czech, Polish and Serbian/Croatian. The professors and lecturers are all well‑known specialists.
Studying Slavonic Languages and Cultures at the University of Amsterdam
Slavonic Languages and Cultures at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) has a long-standing tradition in both literary scholarship and linguistics. The programme has also produced a number of well‑known literary translators and lexicographers.

Accreditation and degree
This Master's programme has been accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders. This means that upon successful completion of the programme, students receive a legally recognised Master's degree in Slavonic Languages and Cultures and the title of Master of Arts (MA).
