The programme prepares students for a career in cultural institutions, education, arts administration, festival programming and media industries.

Graduates can also opt to continue their studies in the Professional Master’s in Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image, the Research MA in Media Studies or the Research Master's programmes in Cultural Analysis. The Research Master's programmes offer an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing a PhD degree in these fields. Students with a Master’s degree in Film Studies are usually able to complete a two-year Research Master’s programme in one year.
