European Competition Law and Regulation

Programme outline

The European Competition Law and Regulation track consists primarily of core courses (totalling 45 ECTS credits), and also included one elective course (5 ECTS credits, see the list of possible electives in the Course Catalogue) and a final thesis (10 ECTS credits). In order to be awarded the degree, students are expected to obtain a minimum of 60 ECTS credits throughout the course of the programme.

Degree requirements

Upon completion of all programme requirements, students will receive a Master of International and European Law, and the title Master of Laws (LLM).

Track

The programme in European Competition Law and Regulation is a track of the LLM programme in International and European Law.

Thesis

The programme is concluded with a thesis on a substantive issue in European Competition Law and Regulation, which is worth 10 ECTS credits. Students will research and write the thesis under the supervision of their faculty adviser. The topic will be mutually agreed upon between the student and the adviser.
