International and European Law (LLM)

International students please refer to the link below.

The Master's programme in International and European Law (IEL) is aimed at students who are planning a career in international law or European law. It consists of an international law and a European law pillar that share a number of mandatory courses. This allows for specialisation in either international law or European law, while taking into account their common foundation. The IEL master programme offers a variety of optional courses. It will develop the understanding of the operation of international and European law in practice, as well as their theoretical dimensions.

Teaching methods and evaluations aim at developing writing, analytical and communicative skills, as well as knowledge of the black-letter law. For this purpose, much use will be made of written and oral assignments, rather than of traditional exams.

The teaching staff consists of highly qualified international and European lawyers. Students will be exposed to a wide range of international institutions and assisted in pursuing internships and other career opportunities after successful completion of the Master's programme in IEL.
