Communication Science (Research MSc)

Excellent job opportunities await graduates of the University of Amsterdam's Graduate School of Communication. Moreover, to date, all ASCoR PhDs have, without exception, found employment as senior researchers in academic and professional organisations. The two-year MSc programme qualifies graduates for jobs in which research is central. Media and communication provides a solid background for working in publishing, broadcasting organisations, new media companies, international, national and local government departments, major corporations such as Unilever and Philips, advertising and media agencies, public opinion and market research companies, political interest groups, and the like. The programme also qualifies students for (semi-)governmental research organisations like the Social and Cultural Planning Office of the Netherlands (SCP) and Statistics Netherlands (CBS). Graduates are also in an excellent position to apply for a PhD.
