Artificial Intelligence (MSc)

Specific entry requirements

Applicants with a Dutch Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence or Computer Science are admitted automatically. Students with a comparable level of skills and knowledge, and who hold at least a Bachelor's degree in an area closely related to Artificial Intelligence, may also apply.

Applicants should have an interest in developing scientific methods for complex AI problems in an applied setting. The main requirements for being admitted are:

  • General academic level: above average
  • Basic programming and computing skills courses (at least two months (12 EC)) and experience with developing software
  • Basic mathematics, in particular calculus, linear algebra and probability/statistics (3-6 EC for each)
  • Basic Computer Science (algorithms, systems; at least 6 EC) and Artificial Intelligence (at least 6 EC)
  • Proficiency in English

Applicants may be required to take additional courses before admission or during their Master's.
