Artificial Intelligence (MSc)

Artificial intelligence is a field that focuses primarily on development and understanding of intelligent computational processes for the benefit of both creating useful artefacts and improving the understanding of human intelligence.
The Master programme in Artificial Intelligence consists of a broad introductory part of the first semester. After this you will take courses on AI topics with a focus in one or two tracks. You can specialize in one or two of five tracks.
Graduates of all tracks receive an MSc degree in Artificial Intelligence. For information about the tracks, please follow the links below.
You can also choose to complete your Master’s programme with a professional specialization, that focuses on other skills than doing research. See the curriculum webpage for more information.
Prof. Arnold Smeulders:
'We humans live by what we perceive, eventually. Some of it may be condensed in knowledge and related to us from generation to generation, but in the end someone has seen the light for the first time. Discovery of sensory facts is at the core of intelligently sensing and analysing systems.
With information expanding faster than the universe, searching for content and deriving knowledge from observations will pose one of the challenging problems for students of today and society of tomorrow.'

Accreditation and degree
The Master's programme in Artificial Intelligence has been legally accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). This means that upon successful completion of the programme, students will receive a legally accredited Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and the title of Master of Science (MSc).
You can find more information on accreditation and degrees through the links below.
