Undergraduate Certificate Programme
The Undergraduate Certificate Programme in Humanities and Social Sciences is called Undergraduate Certificate Programme in Social Sciences as of September 2011.
The Undergraduate Certificate Programme in Social Sciences is a multidisciplinary non-degree programme on bachelor for exchange students in the fields of Communication, Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, Human Geography and Planning.
Fields of Study
The programme introduces students to the following fields:
- Communication and Media
- Conflict, Cultural Diversity and the Law
- Development and Planning
- Dutch Society and Culture
- Ethnicity, Migration and Nationalism
- Gender, Sexuality and Society
- International Relations and Globalisation
- Politics, Governance and Democracy
- Society, Culture and Modernity
Next to the courses of these clusters students can register for one or two courses of the Undergraduate Certificate Programme in Humanities.
Student Profile
The Undergraduate Certificate Programme in Social Sciences is for international exchange students. Students should have at least two years of academic background in a relevant field.
Only for some specific Master programmes there are exchange agreements on master's level. These students are officially administered in the Undergraduate Certificate Programme but enroll in the courses of the Master's programme.
Undergraduate Certificate Programme in Law, Culture and Society
The College of Social Sciences also offers an Undergraduate Certificate Programme in Law, Society and Culture. This programme is also open for exchange students. The programme consists of the courses of the cluster Confict, Cultural Diversity and the Law and the obligatory seminar. For more information see the link below.
