Certificate courses in Geography, Planning, and Development Studies at the UvA

International students who are interested in temporarily studying at the UvA can either come through an official exchange programme, or as an independent fee-paying student. The information in this section is meant for independent, fee-paying students.

Temporarily studying Geography, Planning or Development Studies means taking part in a non-degree programme. Students who speak Dutch can also choose courses from the regular Dutch curriculum.

Students who are enrolled at a university which has an exchange agreement with the Universiteit van Amsterdam can participate in an exchange programme. They pay a tuition fee to their home university and not to the UvA. The information in this section is meant for independent (fee-paying) students. For information about studying as an exchange student please follow the link 'Student exchange' on the left-hand side.
