Instructions

You need to create your own account and submit your application through the online system. Please read the instructions before you create your account. You can complete your application and submit it at once, but you can also do it in intervals. The system automatically saves all information that you have entered.

The application system consists of five parts:

1. Application form
2. Documents
3. References
4. Application Inspector
5. Payment

1. Application form

In this part we will ask you to fill out your name and address etc. We also ask you for details about your pre-education like dates of enrollment and dates of diploma issue. Besides this we also ask you how you want to finance your study.

Please note the following:

  • Once your account has been created your email address cannot be changed
  • Choose a valid email address that you check on a regular basis, as this is the way we will communicate with you regarding your application. Also check your junk mail folder or adjust your email settings to prevent emails being directed to your junk mail folder.
  • All fields with an asterix (*) are required fields.
  • Your family name/surname: This is the name under which your file will be registered. Make sure that this is the name on your transcripts and references in order to avoid any confusion. You should also use this name on any correspondence.

2. Documents

In this part we ask you to upload all necessary documents. Scans of the original documents suffice for the application process. After your admission we need to receive the original documents or certified copies of these documents. Required documents are:

  1. Copy of your passport
  2. Letter of motivation
  3. Curriculum Vitae
  4. Copy of your secondary school (predicted or final) transcript of grades and certified English translation.
  5. Copy of your secondary school diploma and certified English translation (if already obtained)
  6. Copy of TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge score certificate

Incomplete applications will not be reviewed by our admissions office. We strongly encourage you to submit a complete application file including your English test score which fastens the evaluation process.

Important: please do NOT upload compulsory documents more than once or any documents that are not required (e.g. awards, etc). This causes your application to be an unnecessary large file which disturbs the evaluation process.

If you encounter problems uploading your documents, please refer to the link below.

3. References

In this section you need to introduce your referee(s) by giving their name and email address. Your referee(s) are current or former teachers. He or she will receive an automatic email by Embark and will be invited to write a recommendation letter and upload it to the Embark system.

Please first inform your referee(s) about the procedure before you introduce him or her in the Embark system. We need to receive the recommendation letters three weeks after you have submitted your application. It is not possible to upload recommendation letters yourself.

4. Application Inspector

The application inspector checks if you have met all requirements: if you have answered all questions and if you have uploaded all documents in order to be able to submit your application.

5. Payment

This part is only applicable for non-EU students: before you can submit the application form, you will need to pay a € 100 handling fee online. Payment is only possible by credit card. The fee will be refunded if you are accepted and enrolled in the programme.

Follow-up

If you have submitted your application, you are able to follow the process online under the header 'Track Status' on the Embark homepage.

The selection procedure

  • When we have received your complete application the Admissions Committee will start the selection procedure. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
  • We aim to finish the admission procedure within four to six weeks. After the first evaluation, we will need to plan your mathematics entrance test and optional interview. This also depends on your own planning. If there is some uncertainty about your pre-education the procedure will last longer. In the latter case we will inform you about the delay.
  • If you're accepted we will ask you to send certified copies of your diplomas and transcripts, and originals of your English test score by regular mail. In the mean time we will send you a conditional acceptance email and you will be asked to sign the contract in order to secure your place in the programme.
  • After you secured your place in the programme we will arrange your housing and study visa (if needed).
  • After having received your documents we will send you our unconditional acceptance offer.
