Application & accreditation
Additional entry requirements
Besides the general requirements, bachelor's programmes taught in Dutch each have additional entry requirements. Specific subjects, such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, Latin and Greek, may be required at an advanced level. For more information about the additional requirements, see the description of the study programmes. Please note that in some cases you will have to follow an additional course before enrolment.
Medicine and Dentistry
Because there are usually more than three times as many applicants as there are places available, chances of being admitted are limited.
Psychology (BSc)
There is a quota for the study programme in Psychology. Please note that for the 2012-2013 academic year, there will be a decentral selection for all applicants, which will be held in June 2012. This means that you will have to learn Dutch as one of your requirements before this selection procedure starts. Be aware that a high level of Dutch (at least NT2-ll) is necessary to increase your chances of passing this selection.
Biomedical Sciences (BSc)
A national system of selection is used for this programme. However, the chances of being placed are quite good because the amount of applicants is often close to the amount of available spots.
Application dates
Because places for Psychology as well as Medicine and Dentistry are limited and allocated according to national quotas, applications must be made earlier than for other subjects.
Applications have to be made via the central university application register 'Studielink' before 15 May each year.
For more information see link below. (Dutch only)
Applicants for regular Dutch taught study programmes have to meet with other requirements as well. Please read all the information below carefully.
